Project description
The project follows the creation of the Coordination and Methodology Centre for the Prevention of Violence against Women (CMC). The project aims to deepen the cooperation of helping professions and improve responsible institutions' procedures in preventing secondary and repeated victimization of women experiencing violence and their children. At present, the Institute for Work and Family Research and the CMC are developing regional coordination activities for protection against violence, preparing the implementation of analytical tasks in cooperation with the Norwegian partner - The Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies and activities of primary prevention of domestic and sexualized violence. The partners also participate in achieving the project goals. The Academy of the Police Force of the Slovak Republic is preparing specialized training to increase the competencies of investigators in the field of domestic violence. The Prison and Judicial Guard Corps of the Slovak Republic are currently creating conditions for expanding social intervention programs for offenders. The Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic is preparing specialized interrogation rooms.
