Project description

Relations between Slovakia and Ukraine are very close to the state of the strategic partnership. The aim of the project is to create new partnerships and continue efforts in the field of cooperation. Good border cooperation will be essential if Ukraine is to be added to the list of EU Member States in the future. The overall goal of the SIBSU project is primarily to ensure the exchange of best practices between the border police and the customs administration of the Slovak Republic and Ukraine, as well as to improve integrated border management. Another point is to increase public awareness of border bodies in border regions and municipalities in Slovakia and Ukraine. The project will also focus on the transfer of knowledge and good practice on the impact of borders on the socio-economic development of border regions. As well as sharing opportunities for cross-border cooperation between local and regional policymakers on both sides of the border.
