Project description

This project helps achieve the basic goal of working in community centres, which is to promote social inclusion and positive change in communities. The project focuses mainly on a group of people who are socially excluded or at risk of social exclusion, with an emphasis on marginalized Roma communities (MRCs). As part of the main activities of the project, an OMAMA community centre, a community farm, a multi-sports field, and a classroom will be built in MRC. The project actively includes the adjective "self-help". For this initiative to be successful and accepted by the community, citizens must embrace it and take it for their own effort. According to the promoter's many years of experience and several studies, the Roma ethnic group values things much more if they do not get them for granted but must contribute to them. The project aims to alleviate problems in the areas of housing, education, employment, and healthcare. The key partners in this project are the non-profit organization Project DOM.ov and the bilateral Norwegian partner Høgskulen for Grøn Utvikling.
