Project description

The project concept is the result of cooperation between the international chamber music festival Konvergencie (Bratislava, Slovakia), Kjell Kalleklev Management (Bergen, Norway) and International Voice of Justice – Europe (Oslo, Norway). The goal of the project is to develop intercultural dialogue. Through activities connected with musical art, communication of the topics of tolerance towards minorities, gender equality, rejection of anti-Semitism and hate speech in society are the main themes of the project. The activities include artistic micro-residencies of Slovak and Norwegian artists in Slovakia in cooperation with non-professional artists, educational events for students, professionals and the lay public, open rehearsals for audiences with limited access to culture, a series of concerts, discussions and workshops at art schools. Project also results into the new program Voices of the Holocaust and aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in musical culture between Slovakia and Norway.
