Project description

The subject of the project is a partnership of audience development, capacity building, and transnational mobility promoting the values of creativity, artistic freedom and cooperation in contemporary avant-garde music. Through organizational, curatorial, and artistic collaboration in the creation of innovative forms of music and sound art, a community of creators of change will be created. The community will be able to respond to the key critical, social, and political challenges that our countries are currently facing. The project will also create a jointly curated artistic program of new collaborations, concerts, and performances presented at the NEXT Festival of Contemporary Music in Bratislava and in the Spišský Hrhov, Oslo, and Reykjavík. The lecture-discussion program will connect music with relevant, social, and cultural topics and will provide activities supporting the capacity building of project partners and audience development in contemporary music. The main organizer of the project o.z. Atrakt Art cooperates with local organizations from Slovakia A4 - Space of Contemporary Culture, Bratislava EQO, Spišský Hrhov, Antalova Music from Norway, and the RASK team from Iceland.
