Project description

The project operates on a valuable partnership between a national anti-discrimination body and an expert non-governmental organization in the field of gender equality. The project includes several activities concerning awareness of gender equality at workplaces in Slovakia, considering the most pressing issues in this area. Such issues are the gender pay gap, remuneration system in Slovakia, segregation of women in the labour market, their access to better employment, and the lack of women in the management of public institutions and private companies. The project includes public consultations with employees throughout Slovakia, an international conference for more than 100 participants to promote networking and exchange of good practice, a communication campaign aimed at combating gender prejudice and discrimination for young people, a series of educational events for schools and awareness-raising activities for employers in the private sector.
