Project description
The project primarily focuses on the lack of public investment capacity to restore and exploit the full potential of cultural heritage as a driving force for regional development. However, the project also targets the organizational capacity of the public sector to launch and maintain an innovative youth and community centre. Related issues addressed are the de facto segregation of youth groups, the lack of a suitable social life, the escape of young intelligence, the flight of young people and the lack of other opportunities for Roma youth. The project uses a comprehensive strategy developed in consultation with the local audience and a group of experts on youth work, inclusion and movement arts from all over the country and Norway, with the help of Norwegian project partner Acting for Climate and Slovak partners YMCA Revúca Local Association, Banská Bystrica Region Youth Council and Obec Magnezitovce.
