Information in a nutshell

The concept of preventive protection of landmarks introduces a unique feature into the system of conservation care in Slovakia and introduces continuous determination of the construction and technical condition of the real property conservation stock. Preventive protection of landmarks improves the knowledge of the current condition of selected real property cultural landmarks, remove their minor faults on the spot and, at the same time, improve the awareness of owners of administrators of the real property cultural heritage in Slovakia of their possible maintenance options. Monitoring uses the state-of the-art diagnostic procedures (tablets with specialised software, thermovision cameras, specially equipped vehicles, drones) and is based on detailed methodology prepared for the purposes of the project with best experts in conservation and construction surveys. The higher ability to keep the landmark in corresponding condition significantly contributes to maintaining the most important parts of the abundant cultural heritage of Slovakia.
