Project description
The project is focused on the physical and mental development of children and youth in the village of Kružlová and in partners´ villages. Due to the situation of Roma children in Slovakia, the village of Kružlová is trying to support their employment and their general position in society. The main goal of the project is to create a multifunctional centre for the development of the physical and mental abilities of children and youth. The project also includes the construction of sports facilities, the offer of training courses to support employment, and lectures related to the historical interpretation of hate speech, radicalization, and discrimination. Artistic and cultural education to support the return to Roma roots is also part of the project. Roma local civic services and employees of the Kružlová community center, as well as field social workers, take part in the implementation of the activities. The project cooperates with the surrounding municipalities, the civic association, and the Norwegian partner DMP Bodø.
