Project description
The project represents a series of activities leading to the implementation of a unique model of an international site-specific art festival in the Slovak countryside. The Pôtoň Theater from Bátovce and three partner organizations Company B. Valiente from Norway, Kultur-Traverse from Liechtenstein, and Tjarnarbio from Iceland are collaborating on the project. The Pôtoň Theater will offer Slovak and foreign artists a special program of artistic residencies, the output of which will be the creation of new site-specific works, inspired by the local environment of the Slovak countryside. The works of art created during the residencies will be untraditionally placed on the hiking trails as part of the future festival - thus creating a unique trail to contemporary art. An important part of the project will be an international conference for work with the audience, a series of workshops and activities for local people, and project presentations in partner countries.
